Second time in CEBU CITY, Philippines.

Posted in Adventures by Farah Ramos on January 29, 2010

We took a risk in Cebu. It was an experience of a lifetime… I learned that “SOMETIMES YOU’RE AHEAD, SOMETIMES YOU’RE BEHIND.”

It was exhausting. I got there at 5am, took a shower and got ready for the big day. I didn’t get to sleep nor eat.. It’s too risky to be late so I didn’t think of it as an option.

That night, I moved from CEST LA VIE to CAPITOL TOURIST Inn to meet Royce and share a room with her. Before hitting the sack, we went to Gloria Jeans first to go online, grab some bread and coffee. (There, I edited it, Royce!)

Royce and I on our SECOND DAY.

We had our brunch at “HUKAD.” “Hukad” is a Cebuano term that means “to dip” or “scoop.” It’s a native restaurant in Cebu.

I LEARNED how to play BILLIARDS in Cebu. Haha! Our Cebuano friends took us to PIPELINE. I had no choice but to play and I’m proud to say that I did great! 🙂

Avel, Leonard, and Jimboy (our Cebuano friends) took us to “LARSIAN,” which was probably the highlight of the entire trip. We ordered a lot, we got full and yet our bill was only P500.00.

They call this “pusô.” It’s rice wrapped in coconut leaves.

THIRD DAY: Royce and I had brunch at CASA VERDE.

We weren’t informed that an order is already good for sharing. It took us a few hours to finish our food.

Our original plan was to go to BANTAYAN ISLAND. But it was off-season and it was just the two of us, so we decided to change it. We did a little bit of research and saw the photos of WHITE SANDS in MARIBAGO.

Thinking about life……… deep thoughts.

Royce and I both fell inlove with this:

I fell in love with Cebu. I’m thinking about going back… I just don’t wanna jinx it so I’m not gonna go any further.

BAGUIO trip.

Posted in Adventures by Farah Ramos on January 17, 2010

The BAGUIO Trip was fun! The highlight was when we got stranded because the headlights weren’t working. So we had to stay in Baguio. We all decided to wait for the rescue in Caltex. We spoke weird languages, played “Shing Shang Hung Hing,” and sang as loud as we could. Anyway, here are some of the photos taken during the trip.

***Tres Marias

Special thanks to: ANGELIE UNGRIANO for the photos.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Last night, I felt like I had to make a Timeline in order for me to set my goals for the entire year. I finished doing it last night. Now I feel like I’d be more goal-oriented since I’ve set deadlines for each goal. ***Fingers crossed***

A few hours ago, I felt like I want a total change of my style. I want a more sophisticated look, business-like but not the boring kind. My friends said I won’t be able to achieve that. But who knows?

Right now, I need a good corporate suit. After days of finding a good pair of blazer and skirt, I realized that it’s difficult to get a pair that fits well. So I did a bit of research and found this blazer from TOPSHOP:

But the thing is, I need a plain black pair. So if I get to buy this, I will have to change the gold button to a black one.

REALIZATIONS.

I’ve realized that YOU CAN’T PLEASE EVERYONE. So DO WHAT YOU WANT and not limit yourself to WHAT IS RIGHT.

Break the rules. But be sure that you’re aware of the consequences.

YOU’RE AS GOOD AS YOUR LAST GAME. – The bruises have been healed. Gino and I organized a debut… and it went well.

I DARED. I SUCCEEDED.

First time to travel alone – going to Boracay.

First time to work with foreigners in a foreign country.

I’ve moved on after 1 year.

I’ve gone past my frustrations. I learned that being stubborn may/might result to something MAJOR.

I’ve tried WAKEBOARDING (Lago de Oro), KICK BOXING (Amoranto), EDGE COASTER (Cebu), SKYWALK EXTREME (Cebu) and ZIPLINING (Tagaytay).

Started BLOGGING again. http://www.farahramos.wordpress.com/

No more BANGS.

I’ve cut down on my CLOTHING EXPENSES. Invested on shoes, bought cheap clothes (style them).

FIRST TIME.

First time to go outside of the country – HONGKONG with Thina, Jian, Mark and Dos.

First time to travel with friends – BORACAY Summer 2009 with Jem, Lean, Bubu Bear and Maze.

PLACES I’VE VISITED

Anawangin Island in Zambales – April 2009

Boracay – May 2009

Lago de Oro, Batangas – May 2009

Cebu – November 2009

Hongkong – December 2009
