CHRISTMAS IN OUR HEARTS

Posted in Uncategorized by Farah Ramos on December 30, 2010

Christmas is a holiday observed to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. The highlights of Christmas are the Noche Buena, Thanksgiving Mass, and the gift-giving. And we, Filipinos, celebrate it with the entire family. It was just a simple gathering for us this year: we had our Noche Buena a bit early… we started at 11pm and ended at around 1am when I gave them their presents:

Juicy bracelet for my mom:

Kenzo perfume for Mac, my brother:

And Nine West wallet for Ate Patty, my sister:

I’m so glad they liked what I gave them. I just wanted to share them a part of the blessings that I received this year. It’s really been a great year for me and I really really have a lot to be grateful for.

Ship Management Division: Christmas in Broadway

It was my first time to celebrate Christmas with Transnational Diversified Group. This year’s theme was “Christmas in Broadway.” We had to come up with a group presentation and I was part of the “Sound of Music” group. It was so much fun since I was exposed to fresh new faces. I got to mingle with them and together formed a nice presentation. We did a little acting, dancing and lip syncing to the tune of “Sound of Music,” “Do Re Mi,” and “So Long, Farewell.” I played the role of Liesl, the eldest among the children of Captain Von Trapp.

Here are some of my groupmates:

Me and my friend Joan experienced being Lady Santas for a SEAir flight to Caticlan. What a way to celebrate Christmas! I met Mark Salling (Puck of Glee), experienced being a Santa Lady for a day, and VIP status onboard (we got the plane all to ourselves on the way back to Manila!!!).

While we were waiting for our flight:

This was a photo onboard right after the Ramp/ Dance. The passengers wore the Santa Hats that we gave them, so cool!

This was when we reached the Caticlan Airport:

Christmas 2010: Best Christmas Ever!!!

I went to Caticlan, yesterday, December 25. It was one of those spontaneous trips I have with friends from time to time. Me and my friend were waiting for our other friends when we spotted MARK SALLING of GLEE!

I will explain on my next post why I was wearing a Santa costume. Hahaha! Anyway, I just really had to have a photo taken with him, I was in love! Hahahaha! He even talked to me and asked if I was gonna stay on the island. I should’ve recorded our conversation. LOL! SEAIR made my Christmas 2010 a memorable one!!! Whooohooooo!!!

Ideas for my room.

Posted in Uncategorized by Farah Ramos on December 22, 2010

Our house is under construction and in my 23 years of existence, it’s going to be my first time to have my own room. Excited, ey? What’s good about it is that I get to choose and design the interior. So here I am trying to find pegs as my guide in creating a good concept. Basically, what I have in mind is a brown room. I don’t know why but I just want a brown room. And upon searching for pictures, I came across this explanation:

Brown is all about security, credibility, and reassurance. It also tends to be soothing and comfortable. Browns wear well and are good for rooms that get a lot of use like family rooms. Browns also work well with spicy or warm colors.

Like greys, browns span a broad range of neutrals and, depending on the shade, are appropriate for almost any room. Combined with unexpected colors like pale blue, fuschia, or chartreuse, browns can be exciting and sophisticated.

Of course it’s not as spacious as these but I want my room to be like these minus the white carpet because it will easily get dirty. Then I will post my Fashion Editorials all over. I also want a nice painting, a book shelf, a nice closet, TV set, and  DVD rack.

I am so excited!!!

Oh, by the way, it’s not yet late to come up with a Christmas Wish List:

1. Neon Rash Guard: Roxy or Billabong.

2. Bro Code

3. A trip to the beach.

4. Have a nice and peaceful noche buena with my family.

— I don’t really have a lot because I already got more than what I asked for. I am really happy for what happened this year, I have a lot to thank for. I just hope that 2011 would be a better year for me and my family! 🙂

What I’ve Been Up To Lately…

SURFING IN BALER, AURORA

Me and my friends took advantage of the long weekend… we decided to try surfing in Baler, Aurora. It was a 6-hour drive and we were with 5 more vans. We were with surfers, wow! So it was really exciting!

We tried surfing on our second day there. We woke up at 8am and our friends said the waves were perfect for beginners. I borrowed a rash guard (a must-have for those who want to try surfing) from Ron (surfer friend. LOL! I just love saying that!). And then off we went to the beach!

Surfing lessons: Learning how to paddle and stand on the surfboard:

My first attempt… I wasn’t successful. Haha!

My second try: I was able to stand up! Love it!!!

Lean, Jem, and I after surfing!

We went to the market to eat some street food! ISAW, BARBECUE, HOTDOG, ADIDAS, etc. (I was trying to sell “isaw” to one of their customers. Hahahahahahahaha!):

Incomplete shot. Stop-over before finally going back to Manila:

BUSINESS PLAN 2011

Our company presented our Business Plan for 2011, I was one of the speakers! I was able to deliver the 6-page script without stuttering or forgetting anything, yey! The hard work totally paid off! Congrats to our team!!!

I BOUGHT AN iPod Touch

I am not a techie person but I just wanted to reward myself for all the things that I’ve done since 6 months from now to date. Right now, I am not sure if it was a good buy since it’s really addictive! I spend a lot of time playing games and downloading applications!

I was trying out the camera before going home from the office:
