MY TRAVEL BLOG

My close friend JEM AUSTRIA takes on the World of Hosting. She’s one of the hosts of a new Travel Show called “MY TRAVEL BLOG” which airs every Sunday on ANC Chanel 27 at 9pm.

I guess her charm is the reason why she bagged the spot for the Pilot episode last Sunday, Feb. 27. The adventure started in BOHOL wherein they featured the Chocolate Hills, Panglao Island, and extreme adventures: Plunge and Zip Line.

A great start, Jem. Keep it up. And guys, let’s watch it every Sunday!

Here are some snapshots taken off-cam:

Sto. Niño Festival 2010 in Roxas Boulevard

Posted in Uncategorized by Farah Ramos on February 17, 2010

January 31, 2010.

My cousin, Yen, just uploaded the photos from the Festival. Hence the late post.

There were about 500 images of Sto. Niño paraded in Roxas Boulevard. Me and my relatives used to go to Roxas Boulevard for this festival when we were still young (yes, I have a religious family). I remember we would hold images of Sto. Nino and dance. (It’s similar to the dancing old ladies in Cebu. They’d dance and chant your prayers while holding your candles. They do this infront of Magellan’s cross.)

So we decided to go back and revive the good old days. This time with the younger members of the family (our nephews and niece).

“Through our celebration of the feast of Sto. Niño, we hope to revive the childlikeness of the Filipino faithful” -Fr. Erick Santos of the Sto. Niño parish.

I DARED MYSELF.

I got extremely excited when photographer Jar Concengco (he also blogged about this: At Sundown, She Doth Rise) invited me to do a test shoot with him. I even got more thrilled when I met the rest of the team: Mervin Lazarro (stylist) and Carmel Rivadelo-Villongco (hairstylist / make-up artist).

Such an AMAZING TEAM!!!

Favorite FASHION BLOGGERS

Posted in Uncategorized by Farah Ramos on February 3, 2010

It’s been a month since the last time I posted a new photo on Look Book. I don’t have interesting new looks to show yet so I looked at the new posts and came across Barbro Andersen’s page. She has a great sense of style and I also like her look. She’s so lucky because the weather in her country allows her to wear such kinds of clothes.

She’s also a blogger and here is a link to her site: http://barkatt-barbro.blogspot.com/

And here’s my FAVORITE BLOGGER:

[Jane Aldridge and her newly purchased squid necklace from Hanna Bernhard.]

I have SEA OF SHOES saved onto my Top Sites. I adore Jane Aldridge’s clothes. She’s only 17 and yet she manages to keep the most interesting Fashion Blog. She’s the shoe designer for Urban Outfitters (such a talented young girl, indeed). Jane and her mom, Judy Aldridge of ATLANTIS HOME, have a thing for vintage. They both just have a keen sense of style. They’ve been featured in several Top Magazines like Vanity Fair, Elle France, and Teen Vogue.

Her post regarding the Crillon Ball at the Crillon Hotel in Paris is my favorite. Before the event, she went to 2 fittings at Coco Chanel’s apartment and got the chance to have a tour! She’s so lucky. She got chosen to wear Coco Chanel’s design at the Crillon Ball. Here’s a photo of her in a Coco Chanel:

Judy Aldridge of ATLANTIS HOME buys and sells vintage pieces (accessories and clothes). She personally hand-picks the timeless pieces that she features on her site. A fashionista mom:
